The Information Technology department is responsible for maintaining and improving the standard operation of computers throughout the county along with assisting county users in achieving their departmental objectives through the efficient use of these resources.

We provide support on any computer-related concern for more than 600 users over our Wide Area Network. The Wide Area Network consists of the Government Center, Old Court House, Surrogate Building, Human Service Center, and E911 along with several remote sites that include Plattsburgh International Airport, the Highway Department, Sheriff / Jail, the Nursing Home, Mental Health and Addiction Services. Along with our network and PC support, our staff is also responsible for maintaining and assisting in the processing and use of various departmental systems. We also have created and customized software solutions for county users through an assortment of programming languages.
