State Recognizes Clinton County Assessors

The New York State Office of Real Property Services (ORPS) gave special recognition to those Clinton County municipalities and assessor that have conducted reassessments for 11 straight years, thereby complying with the highest standards in New York State.  These communities have been in the Annual Aid Program since its inception in 1999 and have received aid of $5 per parcel each year.  A total of 19 municipalities throughout the state received this honor and of the 19, nine were in Clinton County.  Below are those 9 municipalities with their assessors:

Municipalities  Assessor(s) for 2009 Roll Year
Altona  John Brunell
Ausable George “Speedy” Arnold III
Beekmantown   Gerald Luck, Harold Relation, Derrick Fountain
Black Brook Leon Brousseau
Clinton Martine Gonyo
Dannemora John Brunell
Mooers Jill Corral
Saranac   Steve Petrashune
Schuyler Falls  Gary Drollette

Clinton County Real Property Office also received the “County Excellence in Equity” certificate presented to those counties that provide significant reassessment support to localities and where reassessments are conducted in more than 70% of the municipalities.

Other Clinton County municipalities have been equally as aggressive and impressive in their quest to provide their constituents with equitable assessments.
