OBJECTIVE:

The Computer Center is responsible for maintaining and improving the standard operation of computers throughout the county along with assisting county users in achieving their departmental objectives through the efficient use of this resource.

We provide support on any computer-related concerns for more than 400 users over our wide area network. The wide area network consists of the Government Center, Old Court House, Surrogate Building, Human Service Center, and E911 along with several remote sites that include the Airport, Highway, Sheriff, Nursing Home, Mental Health and Addiction Services departments. Along with our network and PC support, our staff is also responsible for maintaining a range of other systems and assisting in the processing of various departmental reports used throughout the county. Other systems we maintain at the county include mainframe, UNIX, Internet, email, and phone systems. We also offer some customizable software computer programs to county users through an assortment of programming languages.
