CLINTON COUNTY AIRPORT (PLB)

AND

PLATTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (PBG)

Clinton County is currently the sponsor for both Clinton County Airport and Plattsburgh International Airport, both located in Plattsburgh, NY.  Clinton County Airport is located approximately three miles northwest of Plattsburgh International Airport (the former Plattsburgh AFB) and offers scheduled flights by the Continental Connection.

Clinton County is in the process making a transition from the Clinton County Airport to Plattsburgh International Airport, a process which will take several years.  Ultimately, Clinton County Airport will close and Plattsburgh International Airport will serve the needs of the community.

The Clinton County Airport has two, five thousand foot runways, each one hundred feet in width.  Plattsburgh International Airport has one eleven thousand, seven hundred foot runway, two hundred feet in width.  Clinton County Airport is currently certificated under the provisions of Federal Aviation Regulation, Part 139.  Plattsburgh International Airport is currently not certificated but it is anticipated that it will be as soon as necessary improvements are accomplished.  When the transition is complete, Plattsburgh International Airport will be able to accommodate virtually all sizes of aircraft.
