The Clinton County Office for the Aging sponsors a Dial-a Ride transportation program which picks up people at their homes in specified rural areas, and brings them into Plattsburgh. Dial-a-Ride runs during two separate weeks each month and targets a different rural area each day. Dial-a-Ride is open to the public for the regular CCPT fare of $10.00 each one way trip. For persons 60 years of age and older, these routes are free, however voluntary, anonymous contributions are accepted and welcomed. You must make a reservation by calling CCPT Dispatch at 561-1452. You can go anywhere you want within the Plattsburgh city limits, but you must identify your destination at the time you make your reservation. All CCPT vehicles have wheelchair lifts.

Making a reservation
Seniors (anyone 60 years of age and over) would be donation only. They must show proof of age or a senior bus pass. We will be charging a fare to anyone not over 60. This fare is $10.00 one way. Reservations are required as the bus will not run if there are no reservations. Additionally, seating is limited. When calling to make a reservation, tell the Dispatcher:
- Your name,
- Phone number
- Address
- If you have a wheelchair, and
- Your destination in Plattsburgh.
Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance, and a minimum 24 hours. To make a reservation please call CCPT Dispatch at (518) 561-1452.

The Clinton County Legislators approved of a reduction in fares on most CCPT routes, both city and rural, including Paratransit, for persons 60 years of age or older. These reduced fares went into effect 11/1/09, and in order to get the reduced fares, seniors must show their senior bus pass to the bus driver each time they ride. You may get the senior bus pass at either OFA, or Planning, by showing a photo I.D. with date of birth.

The Clinton County Office for the Aging sponsors special trips each month within Clinton County. We work closely with the Senior Citizens Council of Clinton County to coordinate these trips which will include museums, movies, shopping etc., and will depart from and return to the Senior Center at 5135 North Catherine St. Plattsburgh. We welcome ideas and input about these trips so please contact Patti Rauch with any suggestions. These trips are open to the public at CCPT regular fares of $1 one way city, and $2 one way rural. There is no fare for persons 60 years of age or older, but voluntary, anonymous contributions are accepted and welcomed. Any other cost incurred on these trips i.e. admission fees, food, etc. is the responsibility of the individual. You may make a reservation by calling CCPT Dispatch (518) 561-1452. These trips will be posted on the buses a month in advance, and you can also get the monthly schedule by calling Dispatch.
